Uniqlo top, Uniqlo jeans, ASOS mules, vintage Coach bucket bag
I never claimed to be a blogger.
In other words, this year-long hiatus has been for absolutely no good reason, but because I've been hit with a recent surge of inspiration, not to mention more free time, I thought I'd give blogging another shot. Can't hurt, right? In all honesty, I probably wouldn't have had anything worthwhile to share anyway – I feel like I've spent the past year (probably longer) just trying to keep up with all of the fashion trends I saw on Instagram instead of curating my individual style. And though there were lots of fads that didn't quite suit me (pajama-inspired coordinates... I still don't get it), there were also a few that I genuinely enjoyed and plan to revisit over and over again (see: frayed hems, bucket bags, and mules).
On a related note: I'm a huge fan of this frayed hem trend. I know distressed jeans have been a thing for a very long time, but the act of distressing my old jeans by hand gave me a new appreciation to what I previously deemed as simply, "dumb, intentional holes in pants." Consequently, I've made two pairs of old jeans relevant again. So I've converted. Please accept me.

Until next time.
